O Processo DPC não lança na atmosfera os compostos poluentes gerados durante a carbonização. Ao contrário do sistema convencional, estes compostos são utilizados como combustível, nas fases endotérmicas do processo.

Esta tecnologia permite que o carvão vegetal seja uma fonte limpa de energia, resultante de um processo ambientalmente limpo.
